This is the Bailout that wasn't! Pundits have egg on their faces all over the nation. All week long, I've been reading the New York Times opinion page with disbelief, as the professional opinionators like Paul Krugman, Thomas Friedman, Bob Herbert, and every other amateur economist with a journalistic bully pulpit told us that the Bush-Paulsen-Frank Bailout was an unpalatable but necessary bill -- we really had to let the foxes design one more henhouse to really take care of us chickens.
Wow, the sky was falling. Worse yet, stock market was falling! So now we let a volatile market guide a hysterical Congress. The Senate knew what we needed -- a few more pork chops thrown on the fire to get that bill passed. And then, it would be all good, we'd be fixed up. The economy would get out of the ditch and be on the smooth road to recovery. Holy shite, what were they f-ing thinking? They pass their big bailout, crown Henry Paulsen King of the Treasury, and now they're going to go home and campaign, riding on a stinking lipsticked pig? We all hate them, they've let Bush ram one last big one up their keester, where you wouldn't even think it would fit, what with Iraq stuck up there big as a swollen elephant.
Now we've got more debt, more free insurance for the banks, and nothing to show for it. Ayy ay ay, read it and weep, this is the beginning of a long hard slide into some serious muck. They're going to say you've got to give it time to work, but they sold it on the basis of an instant turnaround, and we're not seeing even an uptick. All the rallies have happened on the expectation the bailout would happen. They prematurely legislated all over themselves. They were wrong about Bush, wrong about Iraq, wrong about the economy. Throw the bums OUT! _________________ Fight on all occasions. Fight the more for duels being forbidden, since consequently there is twice as much courage in fighting.

From the floor of the House, Rep. Brad Sherman of Sherman Oaks, California, disclosed how the Paulsen Mafia is doing business these days:
"The only way they can pass this bill is by creating and sustaining a panic atmosphere. That atmosphere is not justified. Many of us were told in private conversations, that if we voted against this bill on Monday, the sky would fall, the market would drop two or three thousand points the first day, and another couple thousand the second day, and a few members were even told that there would be martial law in America if we voted no. That's what I call fear mongering."
Click Here to watch the very short, stunning C-Span video on YouTube. Of course, we know this fear mongering has been the signature of Bushco for eight years. The question is why Congress hasn't told us about it, and why do they huddle among themselves, kowtow in secret to the wealthy and powerful, then lie to us and say there was a groundswell of sentiment for the Bailout Bill? Two words for the traitors in Congress: YOU'RE FIRED! _________________ Fight on all occasions.
